The trade, which was sealed on Tuesday (For full story, see After short delay, Yeo deal is back on as Air21 dangles Mark Isip), was a slight deviation from an original transaction previously agreed upon by Air21 and Petron, which was supposed to be a one-on-one swap between Yeo and hard-working forward Nelbert Omolon.
The arrival of Yeo brings to two Air21’s new acquisitions in a span of one week after the Express traded starting playmaker Mike Cortez for the rights to man-mountain Asi Taulava from Meralco.
Pumaren remains hopeful that Yeo and Taulava’s arrival will help revive the team’s flickering quarterfinal hopes since the Express have lost their last four outings.
The Express enter Friday’s game against an equally struggling Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters with a woeful 1-4 win-loss record.
