Sports5 Center returns to look back at Gilas Pilipinas, look ahead to Governors’ Cup

Sports5 Center will mark its return to IBC-13 as the Governors’ Cup tips off to mark the start of PBA hostilities.

Wednesday’s show will feature host Mico Halili with guests Ronnie Magsanoc, assistant coach of the Meralco Bolts, and Rafe Bartholomew, author of the seminal book on Philippine basketball Pacific Rims. The trio will look back at the exploits of Gilas Pilipinas in the recently-concluded FIBA Asia Championship.

Through Facebook and Twitter, fans can join the discussion on Gilas and share their thoughts on the opening day matches of the Governors’ Cup, which will feature the Air 21 Express versus the GlobalPort Batang Pier and the San Mig Coffee Mixers versus the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.

Throughout the conference, fan favorite characters such as Kobesaya will return to provide comic relief to the proceedings.

Sports5 Center will air on IBC-13 on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays before and at halftime of PBA Governors’ Cup games.
