Following the retirement of Rudy Hatfield, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel management is now considering bringing back old reliable Eric Menk to play for the season-ending PBA Governors’ Cup.
Ginebra coach Ato Agustin disclosed the team’s plan of bringing back the former Most Valuable Player who helped the Kings to four titles in an exclusive interview with InterAKTV.
“Wala na kasi si Hatfield dahil nag-retire na, so kulang pa kami ng isang slot,” said Agustin. “I heard the management is considering Menk. Sa akin walang problema yan, especially kung yun ang gusto ng management.”
Menk was cut from the Ginebra roster last season and joined the San Miguel Beermen, who won the title in the ABL.
Should Menk rejoin the squad, he will shore up the Kings’ veteran laden frontline. The team still has Kerby Raymundo and fellow old timer Billy Mamaril.
